Jason M. Gleditsch

Ecologist | Naturalist | Artist

CAWR_edited_edited_edited.jpg

I am an ecologist studying evolutionary and community ecology. I use species introductions to answer questions about how species and communities respond to anthropogenic disturbance and changes in their environment. In addition, I am interested in understanding how species introductions alter community assembly, species interactions, and patterns of diversity.

Currently, I am working for Oberlin College as a
Visiting Assistant Professor.
I am excited to be teaching again and am teaching courses on biology, ecology, ornithology, and wildlife conservation.

My research has taken me to many beautiful places that inspire my artwork. I focus primarily on natural subjects including landscapes, plants, and animals, and use all kinds of mediums.

New Paper Published

Some of my recent work has been published in the journal Global Ecology and Biogeography.
